heleconia     The Ark of Safety Christian Fellowship is a bible teaching, Christ centered, non-denominational church located on the Leeward Coast of Oahu in the city of Waianae. Established by the late Rev. Henry Kamakawiwoole as Waianae Pentecostal Faith Mission, the church has serviced the community for the past 58 years. In January 2000, Senior Pastor Jay Amina received a confirmation from God to change the name of the church. The church became Ark of Safety Christian Fellowship. Along with this change, the Ark of Safety Bible Bookstore and Ice Cream parlor were birthed, and recently the Ark of Safety Christian Academy. Today, the organization has grown in membership with programs that support men, women, kupuna, youth, children, infant and toddlers; to become victorious believers in Christ, and strong, faithful leaders in their families and community, with a mandate to commit to, and fulfill God's vision for the church.

Ark of Safety holds annual conferences for men, women, youth and the AOS leadership team, that edifies and encourages each attendee to strive for excellence and press on. Weekly Groundbreaker Meetings (Cell-bible study groups) provide reinforcement and support on understanding and activating the Word of God.

Ark of Safety Christian Academy is our current pre-K to 4 year old program that lays a solid foundation for our children built upon the Word of God.

Ho'ola Mai Ka Wai is a 12-step spiritual program that helps guide those in rehabilitation back to a life of increase and prosperity through God. We also have various infant, toddler and Kupuna programs. Our ministries have helped to bring many people to the House of the Lord. As an example, numerous lives have been touched and impacted by the performing arts and music ministries that are used in all services.

In addition to activities and events for members, Ark of Safety hosts and sponsors many community outreach events throughout the year. These keep us active within and close to our community and people. We believe strongly in having something for everyone, no matter their age, generation, social class or economics.

OUR VISION

Win the lost to the Cross

OUR MISSION STATEMENT

"We have a strong desire to proclaim the Word of God, to touch the lives around us, to bring forth liberty to the captive, to mend the broken hearted, to bring hope to the hopeless, to love the unloved, to bring righteousness, peace, and truth to those that are without, to declare His praises in the islands."

--Pastor Jay K. Amina Sr.
